e4d66f35fd chore: use proper way to override remove root 
This is an alternate approach which is more proper, but changes all parts that uses/overrides the original ValidateChildren method

f50a250cd9 Optimize Guid comparisons 
* Use Guid.Equals(Guid) instead of the == override
* Ban the usage of Guid.Equals(Object) to prevent accidental boxing
* Compare to default(Guid) instead of Guid.Empty
